Right now I am sitting on the back porch looking over some of the scriptures I will use on Sunday. I am thinking about how great the last two services have been and how much I have enjoyed this new series dealing with tough questions.
The door is opened and I can hear Amie playing some 15 year old Phil Keaggy album. In the background the kids are just chillin' because they wore themselves out at the park today (no school this week in Cherokee County). I have two humming birds visiting the feeder just six feet from my head. Actually they look like crows.....got to be the biggest hummingbirds I have ever seen. I swear this red throated breed has a double chin. makes me wonder what Amie is putting in the feeder apparently it must be the same thing she'd feeding me, but that's another thing all together. (actually I have dropped 10 pounds and am on my way to a better me....oh the temptation....move over bird let me have a taste of what's in the feeder)
No really.....the bird almost landed in my ear because it couldn't make it's bee like wings carry itself over me as I sit writing on the mac.
What an amazing day in Georgia. The temperature feels like football, no humidity is in the air, the sky is clear, the lake looks beautiful and my heart is at rest. The past 18 months have been crazy, but it's days like this when you know you have followed God's will inspite of the roller coaster ride that you have been on and you can say life's good!
